Why I Started Home Working

If you really think about it – Do you like your job? I bet the first thing you will say is yes. Most of us put up with our jobs because it is what we know. We like the set schedule, we like knowing what we are doing each day and we like the people that we work with. However if you take all of that comfort and padding out, do you actually like your job?
When I sat down and asked myself that question I have to be honest with you, the answer was a resounding now. I was stuck in a dead end job answering the phones in a call centre. I liked the fact that the job was easy – I had learnt the systems, knew the job inside out and liked everyone I worked with. But the job itself was mind numbing. I had no real prospects and it certainly wasn’t what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Yes, it was a job but it wasn’t a career.
Once weekend I came home and decided that I wanted to make a change. The thought of the Monday morning rigmarole of dragging myself to work was getting me down and I decided that I didn’t want that forever. I started to look for alternatives. However what I didn’t want to do is get out of the frying pan into the fire. If I was going to do this I was going to do it properly and the career that I did next was going to be the one that made me happy.
In the end I stumbled across some resources that suggested I look into working from home. Not like the old style working from home of stuffing envelopes but using the internet to make my living. I didn’t even realize but thousands of people are already successfully doing this.
I did my home work and looked up all the information I needed. I have now been doing for a year and I have never been happier. Of course I did all the research I needed in order to make my decision, but I can honestly say that leaving my dead end job was the best decision I ever made. Now I am my own boss, I choose my own hours and I do a variety of online jobs which means that I get variety in my own, something that my old job never offered me.
